We retained Rob to conduct the Chair search for Detectortesters due to his significant knowledge and experience of the PE backed B2B market place and the hand’s on, personal approach he took to the process, both as it relates to working with us as the investor and the CEO.  The brief focussed on a combination of factors including behavioural characteristics, strategic and situational experience and Rob was able to identify and attract a strong group of candidates, several of whom had backgrounds that whilst not immediately synergistic from a product perspective did offer highly relevant and credible experience as it relates to our value creation thesis. Ultimately we had a tough decision to make on our preferred candidate which is reflective of the quality of the process and the strength of the shortlist.
