David Butler Partner at Chiltern Capital shares his thoughts of working with Wingate Point on a recent pre-deal MBI CEO search:

We were working to a very narrow and specific brief, with a particular focus on deep vertical market knowledge within the 3PL and logistics sector, appropriate scale and functional expertise, alongside the leadership characteristics and gravitas to be able to succeed an owner/founder who would be retiring once the transaction completed. In addition, we needed this individual to be immediately available and be able to support us throughout the due-diligence process.

Rob reacted quickly to the brief, understanding our particular operating culture and style and was able to rapidly identify a number of highly relevant and suitable individuals from his network, one of whom we partnered with as senior advisor and Buy In CEO and who was instrumental in the development of our business plan and ultimately the successful purchase of the asset. Without the successful identification of the CEO, completing the transaction would have been dramatically more challenging.
